The UK Economic Security Bill is a proposed law that would expand the UK government’s powers to review, regulate and restrict corporate activities on grounds of economic or national security. These powers would concern activities including (but not limited to) investments, acquisitions and data practices. The Bill is principally concerned with strategically important sectors, such as critical infrastructure, technology, energy, telecommunications, defence, and advanced manufacturing.
